Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. She is the oldest child among four children. She was encouraged by her parents, a dentist and a teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to pursue her passion for acting. This was in contrast to an earlier desire to pursue a career as a primateologist since she was a fan of monkeys. A quick and successful start to success as well as a swift increase in recognition marked her as a young actor. Following her graduation, she participated in the French talent-spotting TV show Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+. She won the Best Young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her career as an actress. Tautou was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a child and was a student there from an early age but has sworn off her Catholic childhood. The actress declares herself to be non-Catholic. She pursued a modelling career in addition to her acting work and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Her photography is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work in the Arles festival under the name Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrity, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her fame-making debut with Amelie. There are also numerous photographs of herself. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big role in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a worldwide box office success, and received accolades at award ceremonies around all over the world. It's the highest-grossing French film to be released in the United States. In the wake of this achievement, Tautou was featured in many films including British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
